It was dirty, It was a room made like those in relocation area/ squatters area. Plenty of spiders, rats and other insects.

It was quite for the most.

It was quite for the most. I like the private pouch. All good really. The owner makes any arrangement he can to help people who need a place to stay. Easter week was nuts, he even let people stay on the couch for free. That's pretty cool. Good people.

It could have been a little more organized. Our friend zender, is all over the place.

Henry was very friendly, made sure we were comfortable and...

Henry was very friendly, made sure we were comfortable and also was able to recommend some good areas for snorkelling. Also the added fan in the tent was great!

The hole in the air mattress might need to be fixed at some point.

A good overnight stay

The hostel had double booked so I was upgraded to a double room. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good.

More information would have been good: a short tour of the grounds and facilities etc., any info on things to do and tours etc.

Needs a good clean- especially in the toilet/shower areas. The fan in the top room also needs a really good clean.

I liked my room with a nice view to the garden.

I liked my room with a nice view to the garden. The location is good as away from the noise but still close to everything.

The place would use one big cleanup and maintenance. It seems that only the floors are being cleaned regularly. The drinking water was not accessible during evenings and night when the restaurant was closed. The internet was not working. I didn't have mosquito net in my room and when I asked for one I have been told that I can install it myself (there was no hook or something to attach it in my room) or just throw it over myself when I sleep. Shower has hot water but the pressure is too low, the water is half salty. The staff is sharing the dormitory with guests and spending days chilling on the bench of the dorm terrace which given the state of the place feels a bit odd.

Guest friendlynes, you can relax and enjoy your holidays without doubt. If there are questions Henry and his team will be there! And very nice filter German coffee (that's rare in Philippines)

Bad experience

Awful place,especially the cleaning. they have no shower room or toilet for the customers, you have to share these places with their family, but they seem never do the cleaning, so stinky and smelly.The four bedrooms downstairs and their family upstairs,incovenient at all.There are insects here and there and the sheet and blanket smells like moldy.

What was the highlight of Alona Native Hostel

The hosts were nice and welcoming but some level of hygiene would also go a long way.

Location is good, 10 minute walk from the beach. Henry was initially very friendly and welcoming but disappeared after we checked in and we didn't see him again for the rest of our stay.

The place is filthy, bathrooms are disgusting, hair all over the sink and abandoned clothes everywhere not picked up or moved. Very much doubt that sheets were changed before our stay. Although it's located on a side street, the area is very noisy with dogs barking all night. It's cheap but not as cheap as other places in the area which are much nicer.
